Taiwan Earthquake: Emergency Assistance Launched
03/04/2024
A magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck the eastern coast of Taiwan on April 3, causing many casualties mainly in Hualien City, and tsunami arrived at Yonaguni Island, Ishigaki Island, and Miyako Island in Okinawa Prefecture. We would like to express our deepest sympathies to all those affected by the disaster.
AAR Japan (Association for Aid and Relief, Japan), in cooperation with a support group for people with disabilities in Taiwan, will start emergency support.
AAR has received a large number of donations from Taiwan following the Noto Peninsula earthquake in January this year. We would like to ask for your cooperation in providing emergency support for the Taiwan earthquake relief efforts.
